Accountancy and financial management
Accountancy is a great career for graduates looking for professional qualifications and good earnings. And you don’t necessarily have to have a finance or accounting degree. You will, though, need to prove to employers that you have what it takes to study for exams at the same time as working.
Once you are qualified, there are numerous opportunities: you could work for many different types of organisation and you can find work anywhere in the country.
As a financial accountant, you could work for one of the Big 4 professional services firms, or for a smaller accountancy firm.
As a management accountant, you could work in any kind of organisation, including large and small businesses in various sectors, non-commercial organisations such as charities, and government departments.
