Estate agents are involved in the sale, letting, management and valuation of property in the both the residential and commercial sectors.

In the residential sector this involves meeting not only clients but potential buyers/renters etc; valuing, marketing and managing properties; dealing with solicitors and financial institutions, and negotiating with potential purchasers or tenants to achieve a sale or letting.

In the commercial sector, agents typically work on the management, sale or letting of offices, industrial premises, retail units and leisure properties. Commercial agents will also be involved in property acquisition and development and will liaise with architects, planners, solicitors and engineers throughout the process. When a building has been completed or acquired, the commercial agent will then market the property to find an end user such as a tenant or purchaser.
