The postgradireland Further Study Fair takes place on 12 February 2014
This is the official national postgraduate further study event for students, graduates and people returning to full-time and part-time education, in Ireland north and south.
There will be hundreds of postgraduate, further education courses and research opportunities with exhibitors from across Ireland, Northern Ireland and overseas.
How to make the most of the event
Preparation is key
- Think of yourself as a consumer shopping for your ideal course
- Think of all of those questions that might not be answered by reading brochures or by searching a website
- Carefully select the exhibitors and then find out what they can offer you. What kind of courses do they offer? What careers can these qualifications lead to?
- Review the seminars that are being run and see which one will most benefit you
- Research the institutions attending.
What to do when you arrive at the fair
- When you arrive at the fair make sure that you register, if you have not already pre-registered, check in and pick up your FREE copy of the fair guide
- Take time to look through the guide and decide which exhibitors you would like to talk to. Don't forget to pick up your floor plan from the registration desk and remember to check what room your seminar is in
- Make notes so that you've got all the details you need to follow up contacts when you get home
- Treat the fair as a fact-finding mission, and don't forget that this is your opportunity to ask questions.
Stands to suit all budgets
- Entrance prime stand 12m - be the first institution students meet!
- Standard 8m
- Basic 6m2 (3m x 2m)
- University village: 2 departments and main stand
- University village: 4 departments and main stand
- Bespoke stand (choose your own space and design)
We would encourage you to take a stand of 12m or more to enable you to talk with students on your stand rather than on the floor of the hall. Create the 'living room feel' on your stand!

Beware – Expo Guide Warning
gradireland and many other event industry bodies are working together to inform exhibitors, across all industry sectors and in all countries, of the misleading and unethical business practices of Expo-Guide.
Expo-Guide claim to publicise its services to exhibitors at events, primarily in Europe. The company uses a misleading form, which resembles an organiser’s Free Catalogue Listing Service, inviting exhibitors to sign and return the form for an entry in an on-line directory. Doing so contracts the purchaser into a three-year, non-retractable agreement. Non-payment is then followed by aggressive debt collecting by Premium Recovery.
Expo-Guide have no connection with Exhibition Organisers or any of their events but they deliberately target exhibitors who are about to exhibit across Europe.
The companies use a form, to view an example of the form click here, which resembles an organiser’s free catalogue listing service, inviting exhibitors to sign and return the form for an entry in an on-line directory, which contracts the purchaser into the three-year, non-retractable agreement.
The exhibitor then receives an invoice for €971 which, when not paid, quickly escalates into intimidatory debt recovery tactics and threats of legal action.
Fairguide.com engages the services of debt collection agencies. The advice when dealing with these companies, if you are contacted by Expo-Guide you should not complete the listings form.
However if any companies have mistakenly completed and returned the forms it has been established that ExpoGuide have never carried out their threat of legal action against non-payers. Expo-Guide also attempt to get companies to settle for one-year payment instead of three to “avoid prosecution”. Companies are advised to seek their own legal advice on whether to withhold payment.
Keep a written record of any communication with this company. If possible record any telephone calls and inform them that you are doing so.
