Topdeck Travel – the Organisation

Much of the success of Topdeck comes from the great spirit of the Topdeck Team. A company operated for young people mostly by young people with a management team that recognises the value of each and every person in the organisation as they work hard to achieve the aim of the company - providing unforgettable travel experiences for 18 to 30 somethings.

In 1973 a young Australian Vet working in the countryside of Northern England, saw an old double decker bus in a used coach lot. He decided to buy it to drive to Morocco with a couple of friends. Originally called ‘Argus Persicus Travel’ (a type of Australian cattle tick) the first tour of Morocco was advertised in an Earls Court pub and quickly filled. And the rest, as they say is history...Top Deck (more aptly renamed) was born! In 2011, the passion remains and Topdeck continues to provide great value extended coach trips (taking mainly young Australian, New Zealand and North Americans around Europe), Festivals (i.e the Running of the Bulls in Spain and Oktoberfest in Germany), ski and sailing in Europe, awe inspiring holidays in North Africa, safaris in southern and eastern Africa and amazing adventures in Australia and New Zealand to give a few examples of our travel experiences.

Accounts and finance, logistics, sales and teamwork are some of the skills that you will gain as well as a feeling of personal satisfaction and achievement. Our current Road Crew come from hugely diverse educational and commercial backgrounds such as lawyers, journalists, teachers, accountants, heavy vehicles drivers, chefs, financial advisers and archaeologists but all have one thing in common ... the passion to provide our passengers with an experience they will never forget.

Recruitment and Training

Topdeck offers a great hands on approach to training in the form of a once per year, 6 week programme to candidates who have been successful in the recruitment process. Once you join the Topdeck team the world will open up to you in career advancement as well.
