Top employers in fast moving consumer goods
The top employers in fast moving consumer goods for 2013/14, as voted for by students and graduates, are:
1. Kerry Group
A global group who supply over 15,000 food ingredients and flavour products to customers in more than 140 countries worldwide.
Leading drinks business producing well-known brands of spirits, wine and beer. Top brands in Ireland include Guinness, Smirnoff, Blossom Hill and Harp.
3. Jameson- Irish Distillers
Produces a range of Irish whiskey including the flagship brand Jameson, and distributes many well-known wines and spirit brands including Jacob’s Creek, Malibu and Pernod.
Coca-Cola’s 146,200 employees produce 3,500 beverages in 200 countries worldwide. Over 200 people are employed at two sites in Drogheda in areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Business Systems, Legal and HR.
One of the most globally recognised cosmetics companies, with over 23 global brands in 130 countries.
An international dairy processing and cheese group, headquartered in Ireland. It has manufacturing and processing facilities in seven countries and sales/technical support locations in 14 countries.
7. Procter & Gamble
P&G markets more than 300 brands including Ariel, Olay, Gillette and Pampers. The company operates in more than 80 countries. It was founded in Ohio by an Englishman, William Procter, and an Irishman, James Gamble.
Unilever began life in the 1890s with Sunlight Soap and now has a portfolio of consumer goods covering areas such as food, home care and health, hygiene and beauty. Brands include Dove, Knorr and Persil.
9. Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson is the world’s eighth largest pharmaceuticals company, operating in 60 countries. Johnson & Johnson Ireland Ltd markets products in categories including baby, beauty and consumer health care.
10. Kraft Foods (incl. Cadbury)
Kraft Foods is one of the largest consumer packaged food and beverage companies in North America, with annual revenues of more than $18 Billion.
