Business in Technology
The first of its kind in the UK, this course has been created to meet the increasing demand for technology professionals to lead, influence and develop strategies for transformation and organisational growth.
The course is ideal for those experienced in technology or techled project roles who want to progress their careers in senior management and leadership.
Co-designed with industry, we have created a relevant and practical course to provide you with the skills employers are looking for. Built around a triangle of business understanding, human insights, and technology, the course offers three discrete awards: PGCert Business Analysis and Consulting; PGDip Transformation Management and Leadership; and MSc Business in Technology.
The course uses a mix of applied theory, practical teaching and real-world project-based learning to develop the business acumen and leadership skills required to manage and lead transformation and sustainable change. This course encourages collaboration providing the opportunity to explore ideas, network, and learn with like-minded people.

Entry requirements
To apply to our postgraduate taught programmes, you must meet the University's General Entrance Requirements and any course-specific requirements.
These vary depending on the course and are detailed online.
Applicants are expected to?have:
EITHER
a second class honours degree or better from a university of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, or from a recognised national awarding body, or from an institution of another country which is recognised as being of an equivalent standard.
OR
an equivalent standard (normally 50%) in a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma; postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma or an approved alternative qualification.
AND
evidence of competence in written and spoken English (GCSE grade C or equivalent).
Entry requirements are set at this level as the team's experience shows that students without this tend to be unable to cope with the demands of the course.
If English is not your first language this course requires a minimum English level of IELTS (academic) 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5, or equivalent.
