The format for a September student will be as follows:
Semester 1: January to June or September to May (depending on intake)
Research Methods in Early Childhood Care, Education and Management – 30 credits
Leadership in Early Years – 30 credits
Semester 2: October to December
Early Childhood Policy Development and Implementation – 30 credits
Early Childhood management and HR – 30 credits
Semester 3: January to May
Financial Management for non-Financial Managers – 30 credits
Dissertation in Early Childhood Care, Education and Management – 30 credits
How distance learning works
Our MA Early Childhood Care, Education & Management is completed through our online interactive learning management system.
This part time programme will be facilitated by an online learning platform, discussion forum and online submission portal, which will create a suitable virtual learning environment for learners to study remotely. As our learner, you will be issued with an email to create your own password to access your degree. All materials such as course notes, supplementary reading documentation, online videos, and assignment briefs are contained in folders within each module. You will also have access to our online student community and discussion forums to foster communication with our other students to discuss and resolve issues related to your studies.
Introduction to the MA Early Childhood
Our MA Early Childhood Care will be offered in collaboration with a leading UK university.
The aim of this programme is to provide a progression route for BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies graduates or equivalent who want to further develop their skillset in the management of early childhood settings. It will be run over two years, with suitable optional exit points for learners: higher certificate (90 credits) and higher diploma (120 credits).
The online structure of the programme is suited to the needs of professionals working in the Early Childhood sector and the part-time, flexible nature of the programme enables them to undertake further study, while maintaining their work and other commitments.
