Embedded Systems Engineering

The rapid growth of applications in the Embedded Systems area requires skilled engineers who have the necessary specific hardware and software expertise. This programme equips students with essential knowledge and skills required to design real-time, high performance compact-code embedded systems. This includes analysis of embedded processors and architectures and methods and techniques for programming real time

The programme comprises 4 taught modules and an industry based project.

Entry requirements

Level 8 honours primary degree, at minimum second class honours, in a relevant engineering/ computing/mathematics or technology discipline; and relevant programming experience in C or C++ or related languages .

Applicants who do not meet the academic entry requirements but who have significant relevant experience in the technology sector (minimum 5 years) and are encouraged to apply under the University Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy.

Applicants must also satisfy the English Language Requirements of the University.
