Leadership - Kerry Campus

Diploma in Leadership is designed for emerging leaders within health and social care. This programme will develop your personal effectiveness and leadership capacity in the context of current structural and professional change in the Irish health and social care services. It will promote your critical reflective skills on leadership, change and partnership. It will advance your knowledge of interpersonal communication, innovation, critical evaluation, informed risk taking and problem solving, grounded on ethical principles and evidence-based practice.

Entry requirements

Nurses or health and social care professionals who hold a BSc (Hons) in health or social care or equivalent NFQ level 8 qualification.

Duration

1 year from from Sept to May one day per week.

The programme will be delivered using a blended learning approach that combines online synchronous and asynchronous delivery and activities, with a number of modules that include face to face sessions. This means that the student can link into online classes remotely. It is anticipated that student will be required to attend classes for face to face session every four weeks. Live sessions can be recorded.

Post Course Info

On successful completion of the programme students will have gained an NFQ level 9 that can contribute to the achievement of other academic awards, such as MSc in Nursing at MTU.
