Master of Science in Applied Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory Practice - Level 9
The aim of this programme is to support Registered Nurses to adhere to internationally recognised best practice guidance in Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory nursing care. We are now accepting applications for the September 2021 intake.
For many nurses working in the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, this will be an upskilling programme, providing contextual skills and competencies to build, promote and manage their patient cohort.

Entry requirements
The entry requirement for undertaking the programme is an Honours Degree (H2.2) in General Nursing. Current registration on the appropriate division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland live register. Candidates must be employed in a clinical area that is approved as an appropriate clinical learning environment by the programme board and satisfies the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Requirements and Standards for nurse applicants. Candidates must also remain in this employment for the duration of the programme.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be in line with GMIT Academic Code of Practice number 6. Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements can apply through the RPL process. GMIT. Please contact them on: Admissions@gmit.ie
