Where
The RDS is located approx. 3 kilometres from Dublin City in the heart of Ballsbridge. The venue is surrounded by Merrion Road, Simmonscourt Road and Anglesea Road and is serviced by car parking spaces for over 2,000 cars plus drop off points for taxis and coaches. The venue is less than 15 minutes’ walk from five of Dublin's top hotels. For further information visit rds.ie.
Getting there
By Dart
The closest DART station (approx. 5 minute walk) to the RDS is Sandymount.
From the Sandymount Dart Station: Follow the Exit signs and turn right onto Sandymount Avenue. Continue until you reach the traffic lights (Bewley’s Hotel and the Four Seasons Hotel will be directly in front of you). Turn right onto Merrion Road and the Main Complex is situated on the left hand side (Merrion Road).
By Bus
Merrion Road Stops: 27X, 4, 45, 4A, 5, 7, 7A, 8, 18
Anglesea Road Stops: 63, 84
There are also a large numbers of routes serviced through the Donnybrook Bus Garage stop which is located only
10 minutes’ walk. Bus routes include: 10, 10A,
116, 118, 145, 25X, 37X, 39B, 39X, 46A/B/C/E/X, 47, 66X, 67X, 70B, 746, 7B, 7D, 84X.
By Taxi
The RDS also has a taxi rank outside the front of Hall 1.
From the Airport
The RDS is serviced by the Aircoach that brings you directly to and from Dublin airport. Aircoach stops are located on the Merrion Road (opposite the RDS) and on Simmonscourt Road.
