Ericsson

About us

Our services, software and infrastructure – especially in mobility, broadband and the cloud – are enabling the communications industry and other sectors to do better business, increase efficiency, improve their users’ experience and capture new opportunities.

At Ericsson we develop wireless network technology that enables the next generation of smart devices and the Internet of Things. We believe that everybody and everything should be connected; it’s what we call The Networked Society. By 2020, 50 billion devices will be connected to the internet and networks powered by our technology are enabling self-drive cars, reducing our carbon footprint through smarter energy use in the home and connecting people even though they are miles apart. Ericsson Athlone is the largest software development site in Ireland and it is here that we develop software solutions and applications in Java, Python and Javascript on the Linux Platform, both on bare metal and in the cloud. We use the latest Agile processes and methodologies, harnessing the power of Automated Testing, Continuous Delivery and Deployment. Our systems manage terabytes of data…. daily!

We currently employ 1,250 people across our Software Campus in Athlone and our Services Campus in Dublin.

If you would like your career to truly have a global impact, then we are interested in talking to you.
