InterTradeIreland Graduate Programme

InterTradeIreland is the Cross-Border Trade and Business Development Body which helps small businesses explore new cross-border markets, develop new products, processes and services and become investor ready.

The Graduate Programme

The InterTradeIreland Graduate programme allows you to work with leading innovative businesses across the island to give you real hands on project leadership responsibility.

Each year we support businesses from across the island of Ireland to actively recruit up to 60 Project Managers from within the science, engineering and technology disciplines. Many of our previous graduates now hold key senior positions within those companies.

The job roles vary from business to business but the focus is on supporting the main management team to create and develop technologically innovative and commercially viable products and services. We refer to this as the 'FUSION' project.

The Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to step into a Project Manager’s role early on in your career. The graduate positions are normally for twelve or eighteen months with 80% of graduates being offered full time positions within the company.

The great thing about our programme is no matter what time of year you are reading this, we are always on the lookout for good Project Managers!

All jobs advertised have different criteria however in most cases, you must have a degree or diploma which matches the criteria of the position being advertised. In some cases, you may be required to have relevant previous experience in the industry but not always.

Training and Development

As an InterTradeIreland Graduate we want you to accelerate your career journey by providing you with the opportunity to gain a fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Management, Queen's University, Belfast. Our unique diploma will enhance your personal, professional and managerial capabilities and will provide you with the necessary and valuable business skills that you will require to help you undertake your project role.

We will also provide a training budget of £1,500/€1,800 which you can use for attending events, courses, further management training or to pursue other technical qualifications.

Academic Support

All our graduate positions are salaried to reflect the responsibility of the role and include mentoring and support from InterTradeIreland and a leading relevant university or college. The academic mentor is there to help and support you throughout the twelve/eighteen months through advice, research papers, use of labs and more.
