InterTradeIreland Graduate Programme at a glance….

Rolling Recruiting-Jobs in Science, Engineering & Technology

InterTradeIreland FUSION programme supports SMEs across the Island, North and South to recruit for Project Innovator roles. Focused in the Science, Engineering and Technology sectors, the contracts are for 12 or 18 months and provide work in innovation, including new product development, process improvement or new process design.

Can you apply?

With over 60 jobs every year, roles are advertised and recruited on a rolling basis. And if you love it, great news! 80% of graduates who have completed the programme have been offered full time positions.

As the FUSION programme is all-island, basic eligibility criteria for each job requires applicants MUST have a Visa which enables them to work in either the Republic of Ireland/Northern Ireland and a Visa which enables them to study in Northern Ireland.

Earn, Work, Learn….

The job gives you real hands on responsibility and direct experience of managing an innovation project delivering real results. To help you, an academic partner provides expert mentoring. This support throughout your ‘FUSION’ project can include access to research reports, weekly phone calls, monthly visits and quarterly meetings which are held, along with having mentoring from your company supervisor and InterTradeIreland consultant.

Personal Development

As a Project Innovator, you also have the opportunity to study and achieve a fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Management awarded from Queen’s University Belfast. The Postgraduate Diploma will allow you to develop additional business skills which will be beneficial not only in your FUSION role but for your future career.

Training budget

Along with the Postgraduate Diploma you will have further access to a training budget which you can use towards further management training & courses, attending events & exhibitions and to pursue other technical qualifications.

You will gain confidence to think independently and in turn attain your entrepreneurial flair to identify and create new opportunities that will help the company you are working with and help you develop your career prospects.

What you need…

Just like you, every project is different.  That’s why each role provides essential criteria that you must meet. At the very least you must have a degree or diploma and in some cases, you may be required to have relevant previous experience in the industry.

But don’t take our word for it. Have a look at some of the graduates who we have worked with here. This will give you an idea of the ‘FUSION’ project they worked on and the outcomes.
