I completed my BSc in Food Marketing and Entrepreneurship from University College Cork in June, 2013. I have always been interested in the Food Industry and I was aware from a young age that I wanted to work in this area.
I entered Dairygold on the graduate programme where I completed a level 6 certified Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute. My first position in Dairygold was working with the Category Lead for Cheese sales. This was a very interesting position in which I had the opportunity to meet international customers, get an insight into the day to day sales environment and also attend tradeshows and various customer meetings. After 18 months in the company I rotated and began working with the Head of Sales and Marketing where my role became much more focused on B2B Marketing. My main responsibilities were to be the key contact for any customer queries and also manage our internal customer service portal as well as organize tradeshows and events.
In March 2016, I entered into my new role as Trade Marketing Manager.
As Trade Marketing Manager it is my responsibility to be the central connection point for the customer through a number of critical touch points such as customer service, complaints monitoring, product and brand communication while supporting the sales function in developing and managing all collateral, exhibitions & trade shows, and all brand activity relevant to driving the sales growth agenda.
Trade Marketing focuses on how we impact the relationships with our Customers – how we support our sales team in both customer and market development.
Dairygold is an excellent company to be a part of. The experience I have gained in the last 3 years is invaluable. Dairygold were not afraid to give graduates like me plenty of responsibilities and opportunities to progress my career.
