My life on the Jameson International Graduate Programme began in the Wild West of France in Nantes, situated just below Brittany. As a first year on the programme I did not know what an adventure lay before me. From working with the on and off-trade, building relationships with bars and bartenders, to doing events with tattoo artists and skate shops, it has been an amazing experience both personally and professionally.
What I found most beneficial about working in France is that, although Jameson is a big brand on the international stage, it is less known here due to the whiskey market being flooded with brands that are made specifically for France. This gave me the opportunity to view and work with Jameson with a small brand mind-set and build it from the
ground up directly with my brand-team, consumers and bartenders.
What a year this has been and it’s only the beginning! Now as I move into my second year on the programme I'm off to Miami for my new 12-month placement! Santé!
