Ciara, Graduate Fund Accountant
I studied a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) degree at DCU. I became interested in obtaining a graduate role in HedgeServ as it was recommended to me by previous classmates who had completed year-long internships here.
HedgeServ provides a graduate training programme which gives graduates a structured path covering many financial subjects which are highly relevant to the Fund Accountant role. I found this particularly beneficial and with the help of approachable colleagues you can really learn a lot in a short space of time. The Fund Accountant role has given me an opportunity to develop analytical and problem-solving skills as well as teamwork, organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
There are excellent opportunities for hard-working graduates with many being promoted within as little as two years. In terms of the social aspect, it really is the people that make HedgeServ the kind of company it is, with its friendly atmosphere and cohesive company culture. There are regular social events such as Summer BBQ’s, comedy nights and the pizza parties in the office. The satisfaction of completing a challenging task and working with great people have been the highlights of my graduate experience so far.
I highly recommend the Graduate Fund Accountant role for anyone who is eager to learn and interested in pursuing a motivating, rewarding career path.
