I thoroughly enjoyed the graduate programme over the last three years. I enjoyed the range of projects I was exposed to and the responsibility that was placed on me as a graduate.
I was involved in a number of HV projects over the past three years with the most interesting probably being the brand new 220 kV GIS substation being installed in Kilpaddoge, Co. Kerry. I also was involved in transformer FATs which involved some overseas travel and were a great experience.
I like the challenges that I encounter on a day-to-day basis, being involved with and managing HV projects along with the interaction I have with various people from different disciplines internal and external to the company.
I’ve been involved in the ESB GAA 7s, the 5-a-side World Cup along with attending other social events which are a great way to meet new people across the company.
