My name is Eanna Ni Neill and I am a 1st year Trainee in A&L Goodbody. I studied Law and French at University College Cork. On completion of my degree I opted to do an LLM in European Legal Studies at the University of Hamburg, Germany. I was delighted to be offered a training contract with A&L Goodbody following the online application form and interview process. Having spent time working and studying abroad, A&L Goodbody stood out as the clear choice for me considering its vastly international client base, worldwide reputation and the unique opportunities which are available to trainees who wish to do secondments abroad e.g. in London and Berlin.
The excellent training we receive here at A&L Goodbody begins during our trainee induction week and the huge focus on learning continues throughout our four rotations. I attend weekly training and development workshops as well as workshops tailored to junior funds and corporate lawyers, which have allowed my commercial awareness to develop broadly and have made the transition from student to trainee solicitor as seamless as possible.
I am currently on my first rotation in Asset Management and Investment Funds and have had a very positive experience so far. I am part of a dynamic team who have made me feel included from the outset, encouraging me to interact with both domestic and international clients on a daily basis and allowing me to provide a real contribution to the work of the team.
The social side of the Firm is second to none and the many different social events organised throughout the year have really helped me to settle into the Firm and get to know and meet colleagues from various departments at A&L Goodbody.
I would highly recommend a career in A&L Goodbody for anyone who is looking to work in a fast-paced international environment.
