I joined the daa in 2015 as a Graduate in Airside Operations coming from an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Innovations & Commercialisation. My first role involved planning, coordinating and monitoring construction activities on the airfield as well as delivering projects to promote safety and provide greater efficiencies. This was a fast- paced role in a busy operational environment in which I had the opportunity to build experience and relationships as well as add to an already strong team.

Following on from this in 2017 I moved into a role as a Client Project Owner responsible for managing the interface between large capital construction projects and the Airport from inception through to construction and delivery. This is my current role and although challenging gives me a great sense of satisfaction as key milestones are met along the lifecycle of each project.

There aren’t many other jobs I can think of where a design or construction project needs to consider how an aircraft full of passengers is going to behave and for me it is this challenge along with working and developing relationships with others throughout the daa that makes working here enjoyable.
