What year did you join eShopWorld?
What did you study in college?
Bachelor’s in Business Studies followed by a Masters in eCommerce, both from DCU.
Why did you apply to eShopWorld?
I read a lot in the news about eShopWorld and its strong growth and that combined with the fact it is an Irish company appealed to me. I then did some more research and found the cross-border eCommerce space which eShopWorld operates in very interesting.
What’s your role with the company now?
OpEx Analyst, but I operated as a Strategy Analyst for 12 months during the Graduate Programme
What did you enjoy most about the eShopWorld Graduate Programme?
I enjoyed the level of responsibility I was given on the team along with the diverse nature of the projects I worked on which included researching the eCommerce industry and technology trends, assisting with competitor analysis and mapping out processes ‘as is’ and ‘to be’.
What’s been your biggest challenge to date?
I would say my biggest challenge to date was presenting at our quarterly Product Summit. I presented the market and innovation review (which analyses eCommerce industry and technology trends for eShopWorld) for two groups of executives and management and fielded questions on the research.
Do you have any advice for someone thinking about making an application to eShopWorld?
Definitely make an application - you won’t regret it! The company has fantastic opportunities for graduates and is a great place to start your career in the ecommerce/technology industry.
