How would you describe your firm’s culture both in the office and after hours?

2015

"The people are great and make the culture: they are friendly, helpful and you can learn a lot from them. They also aren't afraid to push you out of your comfort zone and that is where you really learn new skills. There is a clear hierarchy but everyone is approachable. Plenty of good social events are organised for all levels within the organisation throughout the year, as well as lots of internal societies to join who organise events and weekends away e.g. the Accenture multi-sport club, rugby club and a cooking society etc."

"Accenture employees are hard workers and take pride in their work. The sense of community is huge so there are loads of clubs and social events throughout the year to get involved in."

"The culture is second to none both during office hours and afterwards. There is very low power distance between levels and it's an extremely sociable workforce."

"There is a clear hierarchy (five levels) at Accenture, however, everyone is respected and expected to contribute. I have been working on an out of town project and living in a hotel with colleagues, and the social life out of office hours is great. Accenture has a friendly and inclusive culture overall."
Graduate, Portsmouth
"There is a good camaraderie between people both inside and outside of the office. People are generally very helpful and will go out of their way to make sure that you understand what you are doing. There are a lot of social and sports clubs that try to encourage a positive work/life balance."
Graduate, Dublin
"There is a very enthusiastic and friendly culture, and no shortage of people to reach out to, and the vast majority are very approachable."

"There is a great culture on-site between the client and Accenture. There are a number of separate teams, but they all work together to drive progress forward. There is a strong social element on-site as most people are away from home for the week; there is typically an official event at least once a month, with unofficial dinners every week."
Graduate, Dublin/Warwick
"In the office the culture is very professional, hard-working and cooperative. After-hours it is happy, cheerful and relaxed. Everyone helps and supports each other, so you are never stuck with your work. There are good social events organised on a regular basis and good craic among co-workers!"

"In the few weeks I have been in Accenture, I have attended a number social gatherings with recent Accenture graduates. There are always new events being planned."

"Accenture is a very social company, which promotes collaboration and networking both inside and outside of work. Great variety of sponsored clubs and societies to get involved with."

"Very flat structure - all the Managing Directors I have worked with have been very approachable. It's almost like college in term of the opportunities to join clubs and societies, trips away, (ski, surf, golf, etc.), and nights out."

"I am amazed by the culture and sense of community that Accenture has for such a global company. You have the opportunity to work alongside senior management from the first day you join and have the opportunity to develop a strong network with people throughout the company, regardless of level, that are genuinely interested in who you are and how you get on at Accenture. There is a brilliant social life here and there are numerous societies to join to make you feel part of the company even when you are working on client site and away from head office. I have made so many genuine friends since joining and have always found that I have been offered the support I need at challenging times."
Consulting, Graduate, Dublin
"Great structure in place for any problem at all you may have. Hierarchy isn't hugely noticeable. Teamwork is a massive aspect. Everyone is a team player in Accenture and it's a necessity to be able to work well within a team. Socialising aspect is brilliant with loads of different societies organising great events such as surf trips, ski trips, soccer trips, cookery classes, etc."
Technology, Graduate, Dublin
"Fantastic people-oriented culture at Accenture. Strong focus on developing staff within the firm and providing them with opportunities to stretch and develop their skills. This leads to fantastic experience that is highly valued in the marketplace. The culture at Accenture is also quite competitive. The performance management process can be quite gruelling and exhausting at time, but it is a fair process and ensures that those who work hard duly rewarded."
Strategy, Graduate, Dublin
"When you put highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working people together, the culture becomes electric. There is a great chemistry between the people in Accenture and on projects with our clients. We always make an effort to attend social gatherings within the company which are always fun and have a great buzz."
