"My work involves writing and executing test cases; reporting on test execution progress, defects, etc. to project manager and other team members; as well as creating and managing test data which is used for test execution. I also spend a certain amount of time training and helping new starters."
Midlevel, Dublin
"My current role is as a quality analyst. I read specifications on software fixes, and write a test plan based on the requirements. Once the fix or update is added, I execute the test plan."
Entry level, Dublin
"My day-to-day tasks vary but largely I am in charge of my own tasks and ensuring deadlines are met."
Midlevel, Dublin
"I work out on a client's site writing and executing test cases for the functionality of the client's website and to improve process of their customers using this website."
Graduate, Dublin
"My current role is very interesting. I am currently a test lead for a team that has nine people onshore and nine people offshore. The main roles are to assign work, make sure the testers have no issues and to maintain the high quality of work expected. On non-team related tasks I would have to chase business requirement owners for clarification, interact with developers to ensure a speedy defect fix and liaise with other test teams to ensure we have correct environmental setting and enough test data to ensure testing can continue uninterrupted."
Midlevel, Dublin
