"A training manual is distributed to the company listing all the training available to the employees. It would range from Excel, to interview skills, to contract management. Training is provided by both internal trainers, and by external companies depending on the training needs. Since joining the company I have undertaken Excel training, qualification in mediation, interview skills and as well as business specific training."HR, Graduate, Naas
"I was provided with a structured training programme which outlined clear objectives of what I should be learning at each stage. This training included in-store training from store assistant to store manager, and then department specific training in advertising. In my role as digital manager I have been provided with some managerial training such as Time Management and Presentation Skills. As I had no previous experience in digital, Lidl paid for me to do a professional diploma in Digital Marketing."Graduate, Newbridge
"I was given a training plan on day one and it was reviewed after one month to see any parts that have not been covered. There is also a lot of external training available to help develop staff."Supply Chain, Midlevel, Kildare
"The company has provided me with the opportunity to developed my personal skills further with external training, resulting in professional qualification as well as a high standard of internal training."Graduate, Naas
"I spent six months in store doing sales training, six months on the IT service desk, and six months in IT operations. I feel that this training programme has given me a rounded view of the company."Midlevel, Newbridge
