Intel Ireland's Fab24 facility is one of Intel's most technologically advanced, high-volume manufacturing plants in the world and its only European based manufacturing site. The Process Engineers here have a passion for leading the industry; from strained silicon to developing the world's first 3-D Tri-Gate transistor in production.


Joining our 6-12 month Process Engineering Internship journey, means it will play an integral role in contributing within experienced teams to manufacture the latest Intel products whilst working closely with engineers within Intel's 300mm factory network to sustain, ramp, and transfer technologies using state of the art equipment and materials. 


  • Equipment troubleshooting and sustaining ownership of day-to-day operations 
  • Continuously improve process and equipment operational indicators - quality, cycle-time, capacity & cost 
  • Developing solutions to problems utilizing statistical knowledge, problem-solving tools and judgment 

You must be enrolled in a Master's Engineering or Science Program (Level 9 on the NFQ) and intend to return to University after the completing our programme to finish your Masters. 

We would like to talk to you if you are in your third or fourth year of a course from the following disciplines: 

  • Mechanical Engineering 
  • Manufacturing Engineering 
  • Biomedical Engineering 
  • Electronic and/or Electrical Engineering 
  • ME Material Science & Engineering 
  • Chemical Engineering/ Applied Chemistry (inorganic) 
  • Physics 
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing 
  • Other similar disciplines

Please note:

  • Start dates are flexible depending on University placement timeframe 
  • Minimum 6 month internships (no three month summer internships available) 
  • This is a paid internship
