Princess Productions Trainee Researcher Scheme
WHAT IS THE PRINCESS PRODUCTIONS TRAINEE RESEARCHER SCHEME?
This is a 12-month contract to join the team at Princess Productions in London working as a Junior Researcher across an array of exciting content.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Over the 12 months, we aim to develop your experience across the full breadth of our productions. This can range from: working in development, assisting the team with research and contributing your own ideas, to being part of the Sunday Brunch team, writing guest biographies and supporting the Producer on a live weekly show or starting on a brand new commission full of exciting challenges.
The tasks will vary depending on the programmes but you will build your skills, confidence and CV to help advance your career in the media.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for creative people who are passionate and enthusiastic about entertainment and have a clear understanding of our content.
You don’t need loads of qualifications; in fact we are more interested in people with big imaginations, who can demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the media.
So show us what you can do! You could be making your own content for YouTube, involved in local media projects, constantly coming up with ideas for shows or able to impress us with your television knowledge.
From day one, we want you to become part of our team. We are looking for individuals willing to contribute and get stuck in whenever and wherever it may be needed. Being punctual, organised, committed and a good communicator are also key qualities we are looking for.
There is no age limit but it is a scheme for new entrants, so if you already have experience at a Researcher level then this unfortunately isn’t the right opportunity for you.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Princess Productions are committed to equality and diversity. We encourage applications from under-represented groups. Almost anyone is eligible to apply; you just have to meet a few eligibility criteria:
- You must be ready and available to start work in September 2017.
- You must be 18 or over on or before the 11th of September 2017. If you are successful, you will be asked to supply your passport.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must be a new entrant to television. Work experience and runners credits are fine but if you have more than 3 months paid Researcher experience then this isn’t the opportunity for you.
Applications Close: 31st of May 2017
Assessment Date: July 2017 (TBC)– please let us know if you are not available for an assessment day in July.
Start Date: 11th of September 2017
