Building Services Graduate or Under graduate

CEL is looking to find a talented and experienced Business Development Engineer to provide technical design and support in the main design office. The role also included the technical design and specification of Domestic developments throughout the region. You will also be required to offer in-field support and training. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present technical designs and solutions to potential new customers
  • Provide design and full specification for Domestic developments
  • Maintain Autocad drawing file with as installed drawings
  • Formulate and prepare customer proposals and solutions
  • Provide technical support to existing customers to
  • Research new technologies and identify new applications to grow the business
  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers
  • Develop and deliver technical training
  • Build relationships with all relevant parties within the region e.g. Architects, businesses etc.  
  • Review and manage on-site safety by providing risk assessments, method statements and plans in support of customers as required
  • Provide Operation and Maintenance Manuals to customers as required
  • Keep up to date with legislation impacting Health & Safety and changes to industry codes of practice

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Hold a third level degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a view to chartership
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of five years’ engineering experience
  • Experience managing Projects and a formal qualification would be an advantage
  • Experience within the energy sector would be an advantage
  • Qualifications in Construction Health & Safety, Fire Safety and/or Risk Management would be a distinct advantage
  • A willingness for personal development and training in the role is essential
  • Strong written and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with potential and existing customers at a senior level
  • You will have sound business acumen and be clear on the financial impacts of decisions
  • Well organised, work to a clear set of goals and manage rapidly changing priorities in a Team environment
  • Be goal focussed and motivated to achieve
  • You will be proactive and dynamic and seeking to make improvements and innovate
  • Full clean driving licence
