Residential Support Worker
Solis MMC Children’s Services is founded on the principal of providing solution-focused care to young people. We work throughout Ireland to support children between the ages of 13 and 17 years in building bright futures. Our highly trained and dedicated teams provide the highest standards of care in residential and community settings to teenagers in need of support. Solis MMC Children’s Services, in partnership with Solis Trust, was established in 2005. Our residential centres have been operating since 2007.

Solis MMC Children’s Services provides responsive, quality services to children and young people who are assessed as being in need. We operate residential centres in counties Louth, Westmeath, Tipperary and Cork providing emergency respite, medium and long-term care.
The post holder will be required to develop therapeutic relationships with young people, based on respect, individuality and objectivity. They will be required to contribute to an assessment of needs and implement a placement plan, focused on addressing assessed needs. They will engage in planned social, educational and leisure activities with young people and, through a person-centered approach, provide them with quality opportunities, experiences and social education, with the aim of contributing to their development and quality of life.
Applicants must possess:
- A recognised professional qualification to Diploma level in one of the following disciplines: Social Care, Applied Social Studies, (Psychiatric) Nursing, Social Work, Community Care, Teaching or Clinical Psychology.
- Two years' experience in a residential setting or two years' combined experience working with young people with challenging behaviour in a community setting or similar.
- A full, clean driving licence
