MARKETING & EVENT INTERN
RECRUITING A FULL TIME MARKETING & EVENT INTERN FOR 8 MONTHS FROM JUNE 2018 – JANUARY 2019
You should have an ability to work on your own initiative and to work as part of a team in a busy environment. You should also have strong communication skills - both written and verbal, an ability to work to a deadline and under pressure. Have a good friendly and enthusiastic manner.
An understanding of Google docs, social media, basic online skills and trends & finally be confident with new software. A knowledge of picture editing software for resizing and editing within templates and experience with ticketing software.
Preferable candidates should have a third level honours degree in Marketing/ PR/ Communications/ Multimedia or similar; an alternative degree with relevant paid or unpaid experience will be considered. Please note that although this is a full time internship we can be flexible with regard to extracurricular commitments.
The intern will gain practical experience in the workings of a cultural organization, understanding each role within it, production, researching potential target markets in terms of audience development, comprising reports as well as other administrative tasks in PR, Social Media, marketing & fundraising departments. On completion the intern will have attained skills in business development, databases, editorial, PR, event planning/management/marketing and social media in relation to the arts and cultural sector. There will be a subsistence allowance to assist with travel and lunch costs.

- Please submit a rough event and marketing plan for a tech and mental health panel talk event on Jan 10th Thurs at 6pm for roughly 300 people with a max budget of €5000. There is no right or wrong answer to this, we just want to give people a chance to stand out and show their personality and initiative, so it's not just about cvs and cover letters. We feel that really passionate people will use this opportunity well.
