MJ Hudson Alternative Assets Internship

MJ Hudson, the asset management consultancy, helps fund managers and fund investors operate more efficiently and invest more successfully.

Working with fund managers, investors and advisers in both traditional and alternative assets allows us to see issues from all sides and advise our clients accordingly.  The firm’s services include law, fund management solutions, international fiduciary, investment advisory, and IR & marketing.

From our offices across Europe’s major asset management centres, our team of 125 professionals works for clients managing and advising more than £700bn of assets. We have expertise in all asset classes, including equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, energy, and credit.

MJ Hudson is one of the fastest growing consulting firms in asset management. The size of the team has more than doubled in the last 24 months.

MJ Hudson operates out of offices in London, Jersey, Guernsey, Zurich and Luxembourg and has 5 operating divisions:

  • Law – Focusing on multiple asset classes within the Alternatives sector.
  • Investment Advisory (previously Allenbridge)
  • Fund Management Solutions (previously Tower Gate Capital) – Operation / Regulatory Platform – a full scope Fund Management platform
  • International Fiduciary – (previously Verras) Guernsey based fiduciary arm
  • Investor Relations & Marketing – London based consultancy

Role description

Over a period of between three and six months, the MJ Hudson Alternative Asset Interns will spend time in each of our five service lines, working with front-line staff on client projects and gaining an understanding of the industry from a practitioner’s perspective.

We believe the opportunity afforded here is unique – where else can you gain experience and build a network in law, fund management, investment advice and investor relations as part of the same, structured scheme?

Each intern’s programme will be agreed individually according to your interests and natural abilities.


  • Assisting the legal teams with research, client service and related activities
  • Working with the fund management team to deliver regulatory and structuring solutions to new fund managers
  • Helping the international fiduciary team to manage client relationships and complex structuring projects
  • Researching and analysing investment funds with the investment advisory business
  • Drafting materials to help start-ups and fund managers raise capital with the IR & Marketing team.
  • Assisting with company-wide events and marketing activities
