Graduate Engineer

The Graduate Engineer works under the supervision of a Senior Engineer / Engineering Leader. The graduate will take responsibility for tasks / projects assigned to them and will be supported by their supervisor. 

Specific Accountabilities:

Tool Design -

  • Develop CAD Models for new fixtures & tooling
  • Generate drawings for manufacture
  • Liaise with Tooling subcontractors for procurement of tooling
  • Conduct gage R&R on new measurement fixtures

Product Engineering -

  • Prepare / modify work instructions in line with Repair Document requirements
  • Procure equipment for production and complete installation, commissioning and process verification 
  • Investigate quality rejects to determine root cause and corrective / preventative actions 

New Product Introduction -

  • Preparing project plans
  • Conducting trials to substantiate new repairs
  • Prepare work instructions for new repairs
  • Preparing the substantiation package for new repairs

Product Quality -

  • Review of Work Instructions against OEM Repair Documents to verify product compliance
  • Conduct auditing of the production processes for compliance with work instructions
  • Work with other team members to identify & implement solutions for quality issues

Other Duties

  • Miscellaneous tasks / projects as directed by the Supervisor / Engineering Manager

Person Specification

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Production, Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to understand complex processes involving multiple disciplines 
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills
  • Disciplined structure approach to defining / qualifying process stability
  • Knowledge of material science relating to materials & processes an advantage
  • Competent communication & report writing skills


  • Availability to provide technical support outside normal hours
