HR Officer / administrator part time role

Hr Officer for Brooks Hotel - Part time 2 days a week  ( extending to 3 on occasion on a pro rata basis)  based in the hotel

The successful candidate will be responsible for HR practices within the hotel to include the following ;

  • Recruitment and selection of candidates ( needs to be in tune to Brooks !)
  • Advertising roles on jobs.ie, jobbio and in print advertising ( ideally to improve our presentation . look at competiors e.t.c )
  • Reference checks ( careful around legal aspect of this and GDPR )
  • Updating Job descriptions and reviewing as needed ( with supervisors and mgrs.)
  • Induction of new team members ( good at presenting and training )
  • Personnel administration to include issuing contracts, updating files e.t.c ( detailed)  
  • Dealing with new starters and relevant paperwork p45 /taxation / banks( detailed and efficient )
  • Performance assessments ( experience of would be great! Good follow up and action )
  • Record keeping in general to include hard and soft copy ( detailed )
  • Tidy up of all files hard and soft copy
  • GDPR compliance ( with up to date knowledge ideally but not essential )
  • Exit interviews ( collate data yearly e.t.c )
  • Assist with SOP’s and departmental training records ( needs a lot of work and a driver)
  • Assist in organising staff nights and team building exercises
  • Ensure statutory training is carried out to include fire training and manual handling
  • Facilitate employee engagement meetings ( with experience )
  • To assist Managers and team with any disciplinary and grievences that may arise
  • On occasion attend recruitment days ( weak area so need someone to engage with colleges)
  • To achieve QEP accreditation ( and practice once we achieve!)
  • To assist with risk assessment and safety audits ( important for H + S)
  • To keep up to date with employee legislation and ensure compliancy ( amck needs someone to bounce ideas off and ensure we are dealing with things correctly otherwise use IHF?)
  • In general to support the management team in all areas of HR
  • Person must have qualification in HR and preferably have experience in a role in a similar environment to a hotel
