Pace & Lean Project Assistant - Turners

Job Description: 

Reporting directly to the Company's Planning & Purchasing Manager, the role includes:

  • Working solely within the company's new MIS PACE
  • Carry out testing on purchasing, inventory, planning and production shop floor data collection
  • Build reports that will give the company full transparency and sight of the purchasing, inventory, planning and production functions within the business
  • Assist in implementing and managing work practice changes as a result of the MIS implementation
  • Assist in seeing through and managing quality tracking changes in production
  • Manage and publish a suite of daily, weekly and monthly production performance reports across the business
  • Administrator for the Company's H&S and training documentation

Key Deliverables:

  • Become familiar and comfortable with navigating PACE in purchasing, planning, production & despatch
  • Become familiar and comfortable with building reports within PACE that support the functions and processes in planning, production & despatch
  • Review the quality work practices across production in light of PACE impacts, propose and assist in implementing changes to work practices
  • Review production performance reports in light of MIS upgrade and propose and assist in implementing changes to work practices
  • Assist in completing the Company's H&S risk assessment & training documentation

Skills & Requirements:

  • A graduate with a qualification in one of the following areas would be desirable: Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, Management Accounting or Engineering
  • The graduate should have the ability to understand how an organisation works using a set of processes and practices that can be applied to real people and situations
  • Subjects such as organisational behaviour, change management, supply chain management, management accounting, value chain analysis and performance management would all strongly support the achievement of goals in this role
