Graduate Software Development/DevOps Engineer - Sidero Ltd

Who We Are:

Sidero is an Athlone based software services company with a 150 strong workforce of experienced SW professionals covering the full product development lifecycle. The Sidero proposition is we solve business problems through innovative software solutions and we are addressing the digital transformation market across multiple sectors covering Telco, FinTech, Financial Services, Utilities amongst others.

In Digital transformation, our proposition is to minimize the technical risks for our clients and accelerate the business return from transitioning to digital technologies. Our core offering in Digital Transformation is in migrating legacy systems to the cloud , in particular where the client is re-architecting , re-platforming or re-factoring. We cover the Plan, Build and Implementation part of the migration cycle and specialize in AWS and Azure Cloud technologies.

The Role:

This project will focus on the building of a collection of easy to use security tools, compliance processes and documentation integrating cyber security in Sidero’s clients’ software application and service offering. This will allow its clients to continue to test and deploy software seamlessly, with the added advantage of having passed through stringent automated cyber security testing.

This will be a unique and innovative offering in the tech solutions provider industry.

Along with the attractive salary offering of €35,000, the successful graduate will lead this 12 Monthproject, in a supportive partnership with Ulster University and can also choose to undertake a fully funded post graduate qualification in Business & Management as part of the employment package.

Skills Required

We need you to have - 

  • Honours degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Software Development or related area.
  • Legally permitted to work in the EU

We would like you to have -

  • Experience in Security development/and/or implementation.
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD Pipelining.
  • Experience with scripting language such as Python
  • Practical experience of working as part of a software development team.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Have demonstrated problem solving skills. 
  • Have demonstrated drive and enthusiasm.

In addition, the candidate must be a highly motivated ‘self-starter’ and be committed to maintaining high levels of quality and customer service. S/he must be results-oriented with excellent communication skills, good common sense and team player, demonstrate broad analytical skills and an aptitude conducive to working within a team.
