Quality Assurance Technician

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Technician in the Quality Department. This role will primarily be for the afternoon shift (5.30pm to 3.45am), but may involve cover of other QA shifts from time to time.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Checking of incoming raw material screening, batch traceability procedures and documentation.
  • Report on and ensure that corrective action is taken on any non-conformances to SOP’s.  Responsible for checking that housekeeping and cleaning is in accordance with documented procedures for all areas of the plant.
  • Checking that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are being adhered to.
  • Responsible for checking recipes, mixing procedures and documentation.
  • Responsible for checking scaling weights for all products as per the Q.C. schedule and immediate reporting of any non-conformance.
  • Responsible for checking baked product temperatures as per the Q.C. schedule and immediate reporting of any non-conformance.
  • Responsible for checking packing procedures and documentation.
  • Responsible for checking storage and despatch procedures and documentation.
  • Responsible for final product analysis as per the Q.C. schedule and immediate reporting of any non-conformance.
  • Responsible for checking pallets and cold store temperatures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all OPRs are in control and immediate reporting of any non-conformances.
  • Staff induction training.
  • Ensuring full completion of all records and adherence of all records to specification.
  • Responsible for assisting the Technical Manager with any documentation pertaining to the Quality System and in any other matters as requested.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all daily reports pertaining to the Quality system are checked and filed by the end of the following day.
