About the Company

An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, innovative Edinburgh Startup as they bring a new approach to the mobile app market. They are a friendly, easy going team where everyone is addressed on a first-name basis and all all individuals ideas are respected equally.

You will be joining the small team so will be able to shape and the role as well as the business. They are looking for a forward thinking, driven individual who is hoping to move their career into a CTO position and will relish this fast-paced environment, the challenges it will bring and make the role their own.

About the Role

You'll be working alongside the CEO and Director of Product Innovation to run and expand the Technical side of the business. Your role will be to take ownership of all the technical initiatives and grow the development team. This is both a management and technical role, with the hope to develop the position into a completely senior management position as the business grows.

Being one of the first hires at the company, you will have the opportunity to define the early foundations of the business, your role and the team. As you grow and the business grows, you will be able to take future leadership roles and define large aspects of the strategy and culture.


  • Take a management position to grow and take ownership of the technical team.
  • Put forward ideas of how to improve the product and direction of the business
  • Take an active role in the development process, and work in order to ensure the success of sprints.
  • Be aware of customer and stakeholder needs, and always try to deliver the best solution possible.
  • Notice problems and concerns and raise them with the team, and possibly work towards fixing them.
  • Initially be involved as a developer in the Progressive Web App product until the team grows.

As this is a Startup the role will be quite flexible and may cover a variety of areas, allowing exposure to different functions of the business.
