What the role will involve…….
Recent technical product innovation undertaken by Hunter has seen the embedding of washable Radio Frequency Identity (RFID) technology into Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) clothing which allows a wireless reader in a room to automatically identify a clothing item.
This multifaceted project proposes to create a cloud based software solution tracing the historic usage/life cycle of the piece of PPE clothing so that it will allow (1) clients to easily audit every item currently in use including its condition and create reports on their age and maintenance history all linked to the UHF RFID embedded PPE (2) allow issues of worker health and safety to be identified and support duty of care (3) enable the effective lifecycle management and deployment of equipment from high usage to low usage areas and vice versa, and provide a risk assessment system which relates the levels of toxins detected during the laundry service to an individual piece of PPE clothing.
As well as an attractive annual salary offering of £30,000 + dependent on candidate & experience (Company will pay an above market premium for the best candidate), the successful graduate will lead this 18 Month project, in a supportive partnership with Athlone Institute of Technology and will also have the opportunity to study for a Post Grad Diploma in Business & Management as part of the employment package.

- Minimum of (2.1) degree in Software Development/Computer Science/Business Computing

- Experience in developing a software system using Java
- Experience in relational/big data database design
- Experience in cloud based data bases
- A knowledge of machine learning technologies
- An awareness of risk assessment systems
- An awareness of the Internet of Things paradigm
