Instructional Designer ICEP Europe

Company profile ICEP Europe has been a leader in online learning in Europe and internationally since its inception in 2001 and has established an outstanding reputation for high quality and practical continuing professional development. Testimony to this is its position as the sole approved provider of online courses in special educational needs from the Department of Education, from January 2009 to September 2012. To date, ICEP Europe has developed a suite of 18 online CPD courses approved in Ireland and internationally, 2 undergraduate courses, 2 post graduate courses and has trained over 24,000 teachers from over 60 countries.

Description of role The purpose of the position is to ensure of ICEP Europe’s eLearning stays abreast of advances in learning technologies and online pedagogy. Keep abreast of new technologies and analyze how quality improvement and innovation may be integrated into development and operational processes.

Key deliverables

  • Initiate new production process for content development and updates of teaching/training materials.
  • Develop and deploy suitable design templates for a range of new and existing continuing professional development (CPD) and accredited courses
  • Updated content to reflect innovation in eLearning and meet the needs of current and future learners
  • Skills and knowledge requirements A relevant degree (technology/design/gaming), knowledge of e-learning systems preferably Moodle, leading authoring tools for example; articulate, rise, photoshop or illustrator. Good communication skills, good analytic skills, an ability to work accurately with attention to detail, and a willingness to work effectively as a member of a small and supportive team
