Graduate Software Engineer (PHP)

This role will give you the chance to work in a friendly and fast-growing company, and on an array of projects to support our primary corporate product. Each project brings its own challenges and rewards. You'll also get to work with a very talented team, and as your skills develop you'll have every chance to take on increasingly complex projects.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about web development and related technologies
  • Practical experience with PHP frameworks and modern web applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with databases / SQL (preferably MySQL).
  • Fluency with HTML/CSS/Javascript.
  • BSc in Computer Science or a related discipline

Skills: 

  • Attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving skills with a "can-do" attitude
  • Ability to read and understand existing source code
  • Ability to think outside of the box

Additional requirements:

  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks an advantage (CakePHP, Laravel, ...)
  • Experience with git for effective team collaboration
  • Documenting your work
  • Experience with log analysis, performance optimisation, xdebug, phpunit, CI / CD tooling a great advantage
  • Experience with bash scripting also welcome
