Lean Manufacturing Engineer - Concrete Batching Systems Ltd

Who we are…..

Concrete Batching Systems Ltd has been trading from 2009 mainly in the UK and Middle East markets.  They specialise in providing their customers with complete turnkey solutions, including project management, design, manufacturing and onsite installation including the electrical and control system.  They are an innovative, forward thinking company who are expanding and currently wish to add to their growing skill base. 

What the role will involve…….

The project will involve initially redesigning the manufacturing production process to eliminate the current inefficiencies through a structured lean methodology approach and orientate the organisation to achieve an increased overall equipment effectiveness. This will allow for increased production capacity and improved margins.

The second element of the role will be to standardise the design of new products. A new product with unique selling features will then be developed that has greater export potential than the current bespoke work that the company focuses on.

As well as an attractive salary offering of £25K - £30K, the successful graduate will lead this 18 Month project, in a supportive partnership with Institute of Technology Sligo and will also have the opportunity to study for a Post Grad Diploma in Business & Management as part of the employment package.

We need you to have…….

  • Minimum 2.2 degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing or equivalent
  • Demonstrated capabilities in a Lean operations environment
  • As this post requires the applicant to travel on official duty, the successful candidate must have access to a form of transport which will enable them to fulfil their responsibilities. (Please demonstrate this clearly in your CV)
  • Legally permitted to work in the UK

We would like you to have…..

  • Proven experience in project management, following agreed project timelines and deliverables (may have been during placement)
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Demonstrated capabilities in a Lean operations environment
  • IT skills, competent in Microsoft office
  • Demonstrates good analytical skills & is solution / problem solving focused
  • Willingness to try innovative approaches.
  • Good presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good time management skills
  • Person with disciplined thoughts and disciplined actions
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to drive change and coach others
  • Good prioritization and organizational skills
  • Use of Autocad & solidworks
  • 2 years postgraduate experience
