Engineering Graduate Programme
The Irish Distillers Engineering Graduate Programme offers bright and ambitious engineers the opportunity to begin an exciting career with the world’s leading producer of Irish whiskey. Successful graduates will complete a two-year programme at our Midleton Distillery, Cork where the world’s best-selling Irish whiskeys are created before being exported around the globe.
You will work alongside a world-class whiskey production team in a structured and challenging Programme that offers real responsibilities and the opportunity to develop a broad range of soft and technical skills. Our ambition is to support you to become our engineers of the future. You will work with innovative processes and state-of-the-art technology, while drawing on the traditions of great whiskey makers who have come before us. About Irish Distillers
Led by Jameson and part of Pernod Ricard globally, Irish Distillers’ brands are driving the global renaissance in Irish whiskey. Jameson is the world’s bestselling Irish whiskey, exported to over 130 markets. Since 2012, we have invested heavily to double our production at Midleton Distillery to meet growing global demand for our products.
Our production facilities are based in Midleton, Cork and in Clondalkin in Dublin. Midleton Distillery is a complex production environment located on a 65 hectare site. Midleton Distillery produces several families of Irish whiskey including Jameson, Powers, Midleton Very Rare, the Spot range, Redbreast and Method & Madness.
Your Training & Development
We will provide you with a supportive and structured learning environment. Graduates will be placed on structured rotations in Midleton and will undertake rotations across key areas of the Distillery including the micro distillery, engineering, bond operations and the distillery operations. All graduates will have the support of a mentor & buddy framework, as well as opportunities to work on projects alongside the senior production management team. Our blended learning programme with help you develop both your technical and leadership skills through a combination of theoretical learning and on the job experience. Interested graduates are invited to become spokespeople for Irish Distillers, offering the opportunity to build your personal brand, developing communication skills and confidence.
What we look for
Applicants from our preferred Engineering specialisms should also be self-starters who are ambitious, great problem solvers, self starters who are solutions focused, analytical and most importantly, have the desire to turn a job into a passion as they uncover the vast opportunities to grow long term in the Irish whiskey industry and globally within Pernod Ricard.
We are looking for Level 8 or Level 9 Graduates of the following Engineering Degrees;
- Process & Chemical Engineering
- Chemical & Biopharmaceutical engineering
- Chemical Engineering
