BDO 2015 / 2016 Graduate Recruitment Programme
BDO Graduate Training Programme – Audit, Tax and Advisory
We know how to make sure our people give their best. Quite simply, we let them. We hire those who show the most potential and then we help them put it to work, turning our clients’ business dreams into practical realities.
BDO is about exceptional client service. This means we take the time to get to know our clients well, to understand what they want to achieve and then give specially tailored advice. So we choose people who can rise to this challenge, who have colourful personalities as well as brilliant skills, and who can take the initiative and find creative solutions.
If you want a firm where you can make real progress, then ours is the ideal size. In a marketplace that typically provides two types of accounting firms – the large scale global provider, and the smaller relationship-driven local firm, BDO provides a real and sensible alternative. BDO provides the best of both worlds with the reach and resources of a global player (the fifth largest in the world) and a local relationship that matters.
At BDO, we have built a training programme that allows our graduates to become more than qualified accountants; they also develop the complete spectrum of skills to become expert business advisors. The five key elements running right through BDO’s graduate training programme are:
- All the training you need to attain your professional qualification, along with extensive practical experience
- Early and continual client interaction
- Wide ranging cross industry experience and a commitment to offer this variety to each trainee
- An open door policy allowing on-the-job learning and constant support between trainees and senior management
- An enjoyable working atmosphere built on camaraderie, trust and friendship
After all, we want you to succeed as much as you do. Exceptional client service starts here.
The place to succeed with flying colours
The best-kept secret of accountancy work is how diverse it can be. What we do is better described as “business advice” – and there are almost as many kinds of advice as there are businesses. Our services draw on a range of disciplines, and we encourage you to find the specialism that plays to your strengths and interests.
For instance, audits help businesses to improve their operations as well as meet legal requirements. Tax advice can deliver a host of benefits to growth. In Corporate Recovery, we offer vital business restructuring advice to clients in financial difficulties. Risk and Advisory Services help organisations identify the risks they face and put in processes to manage them. Our clients range from small family businesses to major multi-national companies, to public sector organisations and charities. And with virtually every industry sector on our radar, the learning and the new experiences never stop.
BDO Ireland has offices in Dublin and Limerick. With 1,200 offices in 144 countries, BDO International is the largest accountancy and business advisory network serving the mid-market, and a huge source of potential opportunities for development. It all adds up to a colourful world of choice.
