What's the first question you ask about the firm you’re thinking about training with?

It’s about the people of course. What are they like, will I fit in, are they really professional but fun, will I learn from them, do they have a great reputation?
At JPA Brenson Lawlor, one of Ireland’s Top Twenty accountancy practices, people matter to us. That’s why we’re known for our friendliness and our openness. If you haven’t been told it before accountancy is a people business and we’re good with people. It’s part of our firm’s DNA.

With a staff of fifty, and growing, you’ll be one of the team, with easy access to all of the firm’s partners whenever you have a question or you’re looking for guidance. We’re just the right size, big enough to get the good work, small enough to work closely with you. We’re also professional and progressive and that’s why we’ve grown from a two man practice to twenty five times that today – and our plans are for future fast growth so now is a great time to get on board with a high-growth firm.

We’re already leaders in various sectors including community pharmacies, nursing homes, hospitality, credit unions and construction, always with an emphasis on owner managed or family owned businesses. You’ll really get to know our clients’ businesses and you’ll get the training you want and experience that will stand to you throughout your career.

We’re on a mission to build the best team in Ireland and to do that we are looking for the best people who’ll fit into our ‘can do’ practice. To encourage your professional development we provide sponsored course and examination fees and paid study leave, and invest significant effort in our practical in-company and external graduate training programmes.

So who and what are we looking for?

We respect and encourage diversity. We want young men and women with fresh ideas who love accountancy. We want people who work hard. You’ll be a full part of the team and we don’t expect to carry or be carried.

You’ll be someone who sees the benefits of joining a mid-size firm, knowing the only way for the firm is up. That’s where we’re taking it and that’s the attitude we want you to bring with you. We want you to be part of our drive to the top.

Working With JPA Brenson Lawlor

The first thing you’ll notice about the management team is they’re young so you’ll be very much at home from the very start. Our Donnybrook and Capel Street, Dublin based offices are easily commutable, a walk from the centre of town and right on the main South Dublin commuter and bus route, so we’re easy to get to and from.

We take our training obligations seriously, the way we expect those getting our first class mentoring to take their work seriously as well. As you gain more experience we’ll encourage you to take a more hands-on role, we want you to be a ‘go-getter’ – good for you and good for the firm.

During down-time we enjoy ourselves as well and you’ll have a very good social scene with colleagues of a similar age. We really do value the idea of the team and we encourage that team spirit.

Sounds like you? Why not start by applying here online and we’ll take it from there.
