daa operates Dublin and Cork airports in Ireland and has significant overseas businesses through its ARI and daa International subsidiaries. Dublin and Cork airports are the two largest airports in the Republic of Ireland. 2015 saw daa’s passenger numbers rise by 14% to 27.1 million. ARI is a leading international travel retailer, with operations in 10 countries and also hold the Group’s 20% stake in Düsseldorf Airport. daa International is an airport management, aviation advisory services and training business.

daa had a turnover of €680 million in 2015 as its commercial and retail revenues increased by 30% and aeronautical revenues increased by 8%. Group profit after tax was €61 million. The Group employs 3000 people at its Irish airports and has a further 800 people working for its international businesses.
Our Business Functions
We recruit graduates into six functional areas; Dublin Airport, Cork Airport, daa International, ARI, Security and Central Functions.
Dublin Airport is one of Europe’s fastest growing airports and handled 27.1 million passengers in 2015, a 14% increase in passenger numbers on 2014. Dublin Airport currently has direct flights to over 180 destinations in 40 countries on four continents. Dublin Airport has nine business units; Asset Care, Facilities, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Strategy & Regulation, HR and Car Parks.
Cork Airport is the international gateway to the south of Ireland connecting Ireland’s Ancient East and Wild Atlantic Way to the world. It is the country’s second busiest international airport after Dublin. The airport handled 2.1 million passengers in 2015.
daa International is focused on winning business in the areas of international airport operations, airport management advisory services and accredited training. daa International is pursuing opportunities to manage and operation airports internationally. In 2015 daa International won a multi-million euro contract to manage and operate the new Terminal 5 facility at Saudi Arabia’s King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh. Full operations commenced in August 2016 with the terminal having the capacity to handle 12 million domestic passengers a year. DIATA – Dublin International Aviation Training Academy is part of daa International. DIATA is focused on training excellence and delivers high quality accredited training programmes in aviation at home and overseas.
ARI is responsible for all retail operations and driving retail revenue within the group. With a combination of commercial expertise, innovative culture and a partnership approach, ARI are one of the most significant players in the global travel retail industry. ARI designs, manages and operates duty free and duty paid airport retail outlets in Dublin and Cork Airport. ARI also operates in 11 different locations across North America, the Middle East, India, and New Zealand. In 2015 Dublin and Cork sales reached €110 million and the overall group turnover was €920 million. ARI is a customer centric organisation where the customer is at the heart of everything we do and will experience an outstanding shopping experience every time by receiving excellent service, quality and value.
The Security function is responsible for securing the aerodrome facilities, boundaries, access points and airfield of both Dublin and Cork Airports. daa Screening Operations are supported by Airport Police, Management and Administrative units including Compliance, Planning, Training & many more. The security function is there to provide an environment that is safe and secure for everyone who uses Dublin and Cork Airports.
daa Central Functions
Central Functions role is to directly deliver key elements of the corporate strategy and to also provide expertise and services to the wider daa Group to assist them in the delivery of their strategic goals.
Central Functions includes;
- Group development – including Dublin Airport Central, the Runway Project and Group Strategy
- Finance – including Group Finance, Procurement and our Shared Services Centre
- IT & Transformation
- Company Secretary – including Legal, Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environment, and Insurance Services,
- Human Resources
- Internal Audit
