Stryker has three facilities in Ireland (two in Cork and one in Limerick) which are involved in the development and manufacture orthopaedic implants, biomaterials and surgical instruments. Stryker’s Cork Instruments plant has successfully established a state-of-the-art research and development facility for the development of minimally invasive surgical instruments and associated technologies. These products are used for cutting, drilling, burring and shaping of bone and soft tissue during orthopaedic, spine, ear, nose and throat plastic surgery. Stryker’s Orthopaedics division, with plants in Cork and Limerick is actively involved in biomaterials research and has established an Advanced Operations group with responsibility for new product, process and technology development for the manufacture of hip and knee implants including new product introduction, packaging design and the development of in-growth surfaces and coating technologies

Stryker Ireland employs 1200 people across three sites. These sites are centres of excellence in R&D, Supply Chain and Customer service.
