Green Engineers act within both technical and legal frameworks. This course specialises in Green Engineering Technology, a growing field in the Irish construction sector, such as Commercial Facilities, Data, Pharmaceutical, Agri-food and large scale commercial projects.

Work opportunities include working in dedicated Facilities Management departments of various industries such as Data, Pharmaceutical, Agri-food, large scale commercial, Energy and Water Uilities and Local Authorities The graduate will be qualified to work with Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Local Authorities, Government Departments or as a Consultant in a Private Practice.

If travel is in your future, this course is ideally suited as it covers different aspects of Irish and International Green Engineering Technology.

Subjects taught

What will I experience?

The course will cover core areas of Green Engineering with emphasis on Sustainable Construction, Energy Management and Auditing, Sustainable Energy and Sustaibale Water, Environmental Management, Operations and Enterprenuership, and a Work Experience Placement.

In Green Engineering the student will learn about Sustainable Engineering Technologies, Energy Management and Auditing, Environmental Legislation and Management, Entrepreneurship and Building Information Modelling.

The student will also cover SustainableTechnology, Environmental Law and Energy Management and Auditing, as used both in Ireland and internationally.
