Product Management

For product and technology managers in need of the skills and strategies to enhance product management effectiveness, this programme provides the learning, tools and frameworks to drive best practice performance.

The success of software and technology products depends heavily on the unique skill sets, knowledge and competence of product managers. These professionals must have the ability to manage products strategically and tactically, from inception through to launch but also throughout the product lifecycle.

The Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Science Degree in Product Management have been designed specifically to meet the needs of organisations in the digital media sector. The programmes draw on the expertise of leading academics, international experts, recognised industry practitioners and the latest research to deliver a unique learning opportunity for software and digital technology companies.

The advanced level qualifications provide professional certification for product managers while contributing in a very practical way to the development of product management strategy and practice within participating companies.

Entry requirements

Who should participate?
The programmes are aimed at product managers who have a number of years experience in the software and digital media sector. Candidates are likely to be in positions of significant responsibility. They will currently be engaged in a product management role and already competent in the technical aspects of software development processes and methods.

To be eligible to enter the postgraduate programme, participants will have an honours degree level qualification or equivalent. Exceptions may be made for applicants whose experiential learning is assessed as equivalent to an honours degree.
