International Media Management

About the Course
The MSc in International Media Management is an innovative course designed to prepare graduates for a career in International Media Management.

This MSc provides students with a breadth and depth of knowledge in fundamental areas of international business and media management, aimed at students from both business and journalism/communications backgrounds.

The MSc has three stages. The three stages, which accumulate towards the final award, are:

Stage 1 & 2
The first two stages of the programme encompass the Postgraduate Diploma, where students undertake taught modules in the core areas of;

– Media Management Specific Skillsets
– Finance
– People
– Management
– Research Lectures and Seminars

Stage 3
– MSc Dissertation in International Media Management

Entry requirements

Candidates for this programme should hold a Primary Honours Degree in a business/media related discipline or a postgraduate related qualification. Non business graduates or candidates with substantial work experience may apply but will be subject to interview.


1 Year Full Time or 2.5 Years Part Time

Careers or further progression

MBA Progression Option
On completion of the MSc in International Media Management, students may choose to enrol on the MBA in International Business. The graduates may, normally within a two year period, submit, with mentor supervision, two reports based on experiential learning in the workplace. The successful completion of these reports enables them to replace their MSc qualification with an MBA.
