Digital Marketing

The MSc in Digital Marketing at IT Carlow is aimed at graduates and professionals seeking to explore the strategic implications of the digital era and to develop their career path in digital marketing. The MSc combines academic study and industry exposure to deliver a programme that has a strong focus on current and emerging research and practice.

Entry requirements

Although applications are welcome from a broad range of disciplines, ideal candidates will come from a marketing background and/or demonstrate an interest in and aptitude for digital marketing. Candidates should hold a recognised third level Honours Degree (Level 8 – minimum 2nd class honours) in:

• Marketing or a business discipline
• Computer Science
or
• cognate programmes

Subjects taught

Modules for this programme include: strategic marketing management; digital marketing strategies; digital marketing landscape and strategy; marketing communications in a digital era; design, user experience and content writing; data, analytics and consumer insights; research methods. Students will complete a consultancy project, developing professional digital marketing solutions for a real client. The demand for digital marketing professionals is increasing as all types of companies try to adopt a more digital approach to marketing.

• Applicants should complete the Application Form

• Supporting documentation such as Examination Transcripts, Employment Details, Personal Statements etc can be emailed to postgradadmissions@itcarlow.ie

• Applicants due to take examination in Summer 2017 must forward transcripts of results as soon as they become available

NOTE: Your application cannot be processed until all the relevant supporting documents have been received

How are the Masters/Postgraduate/Higher Diploma applications evaluated?

Where demand for programme places exceeds supply, all eligible applicants will be ranked in accordance with their academic and/or academic equivalent experience. Entry requirements are outlined in the course information details.

• Applicants are advised to review the status of their Masters/Postgraduate/Higher Diploma application regularly.

• Applicants eligible for a place offer will receive an email advising them to check the status of their application on the IT Carlow website

• There will be a facility to Accept place offers online

• The Institute will issue a formal letter to all Applicants who have accepted a place offer at the beginning of August 2017.

• Some additional offers may be made mid-August 2017

Course fee

This programme is not eligible for Free Fees. Programme Fees 2016/17 €5,500. Fees under review for 2017/18.

Enrolment and start dates

Course will commence in September 2017. Courses are offered subject to viable numbers.
