Research areas

Research Interests
Research interests include current educational issues and challenges in adult, community and higher education in Ireland and globally. Research topics include critical analysis of education policy and practice, the use of participative pedagogical and research methodologies, creative and critical thinking about education. The research draws on the knowledge and experiences of educators and learners in the adult and higher education sectors in Ireland and internationally.

Course fee

In general, there are two levels of fees payable. EU students from EU countries including Ireland pay a subsidised level of fees for both taught courses and research programmes. Tuition fees for students from outside the EU are not subsidised and are thus somewhat higher than for EU students.
