This module focuses on developing the knowledge and skills required for supporting learners with specific learning difficulties (SLDs).
The module considers what 'specific learning difficulties' are, and how specific they are. It also addresses the needs of learners experiencing communication, speech and language difficulties and dyslexia.
Each area in turn will examine the most recent research information in relation to the nature and assessment of SLDs, and some of the intervention approaches suitable for learners with these difficulties.
